Hello Friends,

I am praising God today for His many blessings.  I love how daily He loads us with blessings, but He also gives us amazing things to look forward to experiencing.  Sometimes I think the anticipation of a trip or vacation is as much fun as the vacation itself.  I love thinking of all that we are going to do, planning the individual events, and knowing the fun and joy that each one will bring.  I love the anticipation of the different foods, experiences, and the unknown blessings that will come our way as we enjoy the vacation.  It seems that the greater the anticipation the better the vacation ends up being.

I can’t help but believe that Heaven is like this as well. The more I read about Heaven the more excited I am to get there. The better I know Jesus the more I long to see Him face to face.  Scriptures reveal much of what Heaven is going to be like and as I read those pages of His blessed book I am thrilled to know that every promise of the joys of Heaven and every detail of the splendor of Heaven will be mine to experience forever.

We have much to get excited about when it comes to knowing Jesus and spending eternity in Heaven.  Every chapter of God’s Holy Word has something amazing He wants us to know.  Every detail of God’s character makes me want to know Him better and to spend more time with Him.  Honestly, though vacations bring excitement, joy, and much needed rest, the thought of Heaven with its splendor, glory, and blessings far exceeds any earthly experience.  Oh, Lord please increase my anticipation of the coming of You.  Fill my soul with excitement and joy at the thought of Heaven and your coming to take me home eternally with you.
