Hello Friends,

Today as I walk around the District of Columbia and contemplate the freedom we have in this country I am thrilled by the fact that I know I am free and free indeed.  I am free in this country, and I am free in my soul.  Freedom is my heart’s cry.  I greatly appreciate the brave men and women who have fought and continue to fight for my freedom, but I am overwhelmingly grateful for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords that willingly gave His life’s blood so that I could have eternal freedom.

As I walked around looking at Arlington cemetery, I couldn’t help but think of the sacrifices that had been made so that I could walk freely in this country, pursue my dreams, and express my thoughts, opinions, and feelings.  I love that I am able to live in a country where my freedoms are protected and my life is free from war.  I don’t fear  incoming bombs or all the stress and threats that come from war in my own country.  This brings a sense of peace.

I couldn’t help but think of the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus gave for me on the cross of Calvary, He paid a sin debt I couldn’t pay and He didn’t owe.  His love held Him to the cross not the nails or the threat of the Centurion guards.  Jesus died for me willingly because He loved me and I am no different than you, He loves each of us the same and His love for you and me costs Him His life.  No one loves you more and no one has ever sacrificed so much for you.  Jesus brings a peace that the world did not give you so the world cannot take it away. Jesus loves me this I know.  The Bible tells me so.  Remember you are loved. Jesus loves you.

In His Service,

Kimmy
