Hello Friends,

As I sit this morning basking in the love, goodness, and grace of Jesus, I am overwhelmed by the amazingly detailed attention God pays to each of us.  When He says He has a plan for your life He doesn’t just create the blueprint and then leave you alone to follow it or to make it come to fruition.  No, He never leaves you and He orchestrates your life, influences your mind, and fills your heart with the desire and motivation to complete His plan.

Sometimes I get a little rushed with my life.  I become fixated on my schedule and on how I think things should turn out or happen.  Today I am reminded, again, that everything works for His glory and our good (Romans 8:28).  Today I understand the value of the time it takes for things to unfold and happen.  Time isn’t wasted.  God isn’t delaying, He is always working on all of us and getting us ready for what He has for us. It takes time and sometimes a long time for Him to prepare us to be ready for all He has for us.

Embrace the wait.  Utilize it for the gift that it is.  He isn’t delaying.  He isn’t building anticipation.  He is preparing.  He is preparing you, those around you, and the way!  Like Noah spent every day for decades building an ark, not for the anticipation of the big flood but for the transformation being made in him and for the preparation that was necessary.  Noah wasn’t living for the flood. He was living for the relationship that was being built for Him by God with God.

Scripture tells us that the evil of the day is sufficient.  We are not to worry about what tomorrow will bring but to live in the moment, the here and now.  I don’t believe that is telling us not to prepare or plan.  I believe that is telling us to enjoy moment by moment what God is doing for us, through us, and in us.  Seize the day and all the opportunities God has for you. Remember you are loved.  Jesus loves you.

In His Service,
Kimmy
