Hello Friends,

Today as I sit here thinking of the blessings of God and His goodness, I am struck by the peace He gives.  I am also aware that His peace is in constant supply, yet I am not always at peace.  Contemplating this truth has given me much to think about.  Logically since God’s peace is in constant supply, I should always be at peace.  However, my life and yours, doesn’t always follow logic.  The peace is there for the taking but we don’t always receive His peace.

The reasons we don’t receive His peace are many.  Sometimes it is because we are not in the right place with God so our life is filled with so much worldliness, sin, and wickedness that we can’t receive His peace.  Other times, it is because we are not looking to Him for peace, answers, or comfort.  Yet still at other times, it is because we refuse to heed His Word, resist His command, and consciously choose to go our own way even after hearing what God says is best for the situation.  Yes, His peace is always there but sometimes we aren’t looking for it, interested in it, or having any part of it.

When we see it written so plainly in front of us it seems ludicrous.  We think to ourselves I would never be so dumb or stubborn as to ignore God’s peace and choose chaos, turmoil, and worry over it.  But the truth remains that we do.  Why?

The answer is simple.  We let ourselves get in our own way.  We rely upon our own strength and not God’s strength.  This is a fundamental truth that we must discipline ourselves against doing.  We are living below our privileges; struggling when it isn’t necessary and causing ourselves needless stress.  Instead, we must trust in the Lord fully.  We must believe in who He is and know deep within our heart, being fully convinced, that God is right.  He has our best interest at heart, and He is going to provide all we need to live Godly, productive, and joyful lives in this world.

Peace is directly correlated to faith.  The more faith we have the more peace we will experience. Faith is key to a close, personal relationship with Jesus.  Faith is what unlocks the blessings of God and the peace of God in our lives.  So, today, let’s live a life full of faith in God. Let’s exercise our faith at all times and in all situations.  Let’s walk in the authority of knowing that God is in control.  He sees me.  He hears me.  He loves me and He has my best interest at heart.  He is trustworthy and I can trust Him with my heart, soul, and life.  Remember you are loved.  Jesus loves you.

In His Service,
Kimmy
