There are times when we all feel lonely. I think this is one of the most effective tools the devil has in his arsenal. The devil likes to lie to us and tell us that we are all alone, that no one cares for us and that we are left to fend for ourselves. But the truth is that we are never alone. Jesus, through the Holy Spirit within every believer, is always with us, providing for us, comforting us, communing with us, and leading us. We are His children and as such He wants to spend time with us. Countless times throughout the pages of the Bible we are invited to pray, spend time in the Word, and to meditate upon Him. He promises to meet us in every instance where we call upon Him, fellowship with Him and invite Him into our day. Don’t let the devil lie to you. Your Lord, Jesus Christ, is longing to spend time with you. Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved!
Prayer: Jesus speak to my heart today. Help me to see the evidence of You in my life. Teach me to feel Your presence as I meditate upon Your Word. Have the Holy Spirit swell within me, so I am overcome with Your presence in my life. Comfort me. Guide me. Give me the peace that only You can give. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
