With St. Patrick’s Day celebrations this month, I’ve been thinking lately about how people say they are lucky. You hear the phrase “the luck of the Irish” and that finding four-leaf clovers give you luck. Well, I try my best not to say that I am lucky or unlucky, because for us Christians, we know that we in fact do not have good or bad luck. We have God guiding us through life! It is through His love and blessings that He so freely gives that help us through every situation, not just luck or coincidence!
Think on these verses this month:
Psalm 89:15 – “Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.”
Psalm 84:12 – “O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.”
Luke 14:15 – “And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.”
See, the Bible makes it clear that we are blessed not lucky! God knows the plans for us, plans to bless us, not give us a streak of good or bad luck! Be Blessed!
