VERSE: James 5:8, “Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.”
Trusting in the Lord brings peace, happiness, and genuine joy. However, sometimes we simply become impatient, and we jump ahead of God’s plan for our lives. This impatience always causes us to do something we shouldn’t or to miss the blessing God has for us. We are His workmanship, and we must trust His plan for our lives. Like fruit, we take time to ripen and to develop within us the fruits of righteousness that God has planned for us. So, if it seems you are just existing and that perhaps you are forgotten, rest assured you haven’t been forgotten and you aren’t just existing. You are ripening. Trust Jesus. Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Oh, Lord, help me to trust you during the waiting times of my life. Help me to remain focused on You as You do Your work in my life. Help me to exhibit the Joy of You in my countenance, my life, and my days, always! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
