The Best is Yet to Come

I Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.”

Sometimes it is good to be reminded that this is not our permanent home. We are just pilgrims in search of a city whose builder and maker is God. We travel through this world, serving, trusting, and walking with the Lord. At the end of our journey we have a home not
made with hands eternal into the heavens. And oh, what a home we have. This verse makes my heart rejoice as I am reminded that God is preparing a place for me that I may dwell with Him for eternity. And, it isn’t just any old place, it is a mansion that is so beautiful that our minds cannot comprehend what is waiting for us in heaven. This verse states that we haven’t ever seen anything so beautiful or heard anything like what is being prepared in heaven for those who love the Lord. In fact, we are told that we can’t even imagine how wonderful heaven is. This verse reminds us of the truth that this life is temporary, and the best is yet to come. Do you love Jesus? If so, hang tight. You are going to receive a reward that is truly out of this world. Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved!

Prayer: Thank You Lord. Thank You Lord. Help me to remember that You are always
providing. You are always working things out for my good and that the best is yet to come.
Give me strength for my journey, joy for my heart and a purpose for my days. I love You, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
