Song: “This Is the Day”
This is the day, this is the day.
That the Lord has made, that the Lord has made.
We will rejoice, we will rejoice,
And be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day
That the Lord has made.
We are the sons, we are the sons,
Of the living God, of the living God.
We will rejoice, we will rejoice,
And be glad in Him, and be glad in Him.
We are the sons of the living God.
We will rejoice and be glad in Him.
We are the sons, we are the sons
Of the living God.
VERSE: Psalm 118:24, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
You have so much for which to be thankful. Every morning the Lord renews His mercies upon you and loads you with His benefits. He awakens you each morning to His presence and protection. He puts you to sleep each night with His tender watch care and love. Regardless of what the devil may try to put in your path, God always enables you to escape the devil’s snares. Today, look up for your redemption is nigh. Sing praises to the Great I Am for He is your friend, your protector, your provider, your Savior and your Redeemer! Let His presence flood your heart with joy as you make yourself aware of all He is doing for you and of His abundant love for you. Lift your voice in gratitude for His marvelous works in your life. Rejoice in knowing that you are held by the creator of the universe and you matter to Him more than you could ever comprehend. Yes, you are important! You are loved! You are worthy! You were created in His image and bought by the precious blood of Jesus. Remember Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Lord, I just want to praise You. I want my lips to repeat your greatness and my life to be a living witness of Your works and wonders. Lord, fill my heart with Your presence. Give me joy and full assurance of Your love for me, Your mercy for me and Your amazing grace. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
*Sunday and Wednesday encouragements are written for our friends in Assisted Living, who we are unable to see regularly, due to COVID. We pray they are a blessing for you as well!
