Song: “I Must Tell Jesus”
By Elisha A. Hoffman

I must tell Jesus all of my trials,
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me,
He ever loves and cares for His own.

Refrain: I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

I must tell Jesus all of my troubles,
He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
If I but ask Him He will deliver,
Make of my troubles quickly an end. [Refrain]

Tempted and tried I need a great Savior,
One who can help my burdens to bear;
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus:
He all my cares and sorrows will share. [Refrain]

What must I do when worldliness calls me?
What must I do when tempted to sin?
I must tell Jesus, and He will help me
Over the world the vict’ry to win.

VERSE:  Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

You, precious child of God, have a standing invitation to go to the Father and tell Him what is in your heart.  You belong in front of Him at the throne because of His amazing love for you.  Jesus bought your ticket to the throne with His blood on the cross of Calvary.  So, you have unlimited free access to the throne of God.  You can be confident as you bow you head in prayer to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  He wants you to be there. He is waiting for you to come and He is ready to listen to your cares, your praise and your desires.  God wants to give you the desires of your heart and to offer you the peace that comes from sitting in His presence in the center of His will. All you must do, my friend, is bow to Him in prayer and open your heart. Tell Him your thoughts, your fears, your needs and desires.  Come boldly to His throne knowing you belong there, that He wants you there.  Expect to be met by Him, loved by Him and to get the answers and peace you need.  You have an open invitation to come to Him.  Jesus loves you.  You are loved.

Prayer:  Lord, I come to you today exercising the privilege of being in your presence.  Lord, teach me to sit at your throne and rest in your peace.  Help me to come to you immediately when my heart is heavy, and my mind is full.  Thank you!   In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

*Sunday and Wednesday encouragements are written for our friends in Assisted Living, who we are unable to see regularly, due to COVID. We pray they are a blessing for you as well!
