VERSE: II Corinthians 4:8-9, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down but not destroyed.”
There is something very different about the child of God. They have the Holy Spirit living inside of them, guiding them, comforting them and leading them. It is this presence of the Holy Spirit inside the child of God that makes all the difference. The child of God, working under the direction of the Holy Spirit, will feel a true sense of peace and joy regardless of the situation. Unlike an unbeliever, the child of God has direct access to the throne of God. Because of this, the child of God, even during unpleasant circumstances, can experience peace, joy, mercy and grace in ways that an unbeliever simply can’t.
Troubles may come and problems may arise but for the child of God it is an opportunity to watch the Holy Spirit move them through the situation and see the glory of the Lord all around them. It doesn’t matter what you are going through right now or what you fear tomorrow will bring. You can live in peace and confidence that everything is going to be alright. You have direct access to God through Jesus His Son. You can trust the leading of the Holy Spirt to guide you safely through every situation. Live in the peace and joy of the Lord. Take your burden to the Lord and allow Him to lead. Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Lord, teach me to trust You. Help me to bring my burdens to You. Help me to walk in your peace and live in your joy. Open my heart and fill it with You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
