Song: “Where He Leads Me”
Ernest W. Blandy
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.”
Refrain:
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.
I’ll go with Him through the waters,
I’ll go with Him through the waters,
I’ll go with Him through the waters,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way. [Refrain]
I’ll go with Him to dark Calv’ry,
I’ll go with Him to dark Calv’ry,
I’ll go with Him to dark Calv’ry,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way. [Refrain]
I’ll go with Him to the judgment,
I’ll go with Him to the judgment,
I’ll go with Him to the judgment,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way. [Refrain]
He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
And go with me, with me all the way. [Refrain]
VERSE: Isaiah 48:17, “Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”
The Lord speaks and we must listen. The Lord redeems and we must trust Him. The Lord teaches and we must learn. The Lord leads and we must follow. Nowhere does it say that we will always like where He leads. It also doesn’t say He will make a way where we choose. But it does say that He will make a way for us and that He will lead us in the way that we should go. Today, you may not find your feet planted where you have chosen. But rest assured they are planted exactly where He has chosen. As a result, you are perfectly situated to receive the grace, mercy, protection, comfort and all the blessings of God. Be happy and rejoice. You are not forgotten. God has you right where He wants you. Jesus loves you. You are loved!
Prayer: Lord, Bless me! Tune my heart perfectly to yours. Help me to feel your presence and to experience your joy in my life. Help me to know you and to recognize your many blessings. I love you Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
*Sunday and Wednesday encouragements are written for our friends in Assisted Living, who we are unable to see regularly, due to COVID. We pray they are a blessing for you as well!
