Song: “Reach Out to Jesus”
Ralph Carmichael

Is your burden heavy as you bear it all alone?
Does the road you travel, harbor dangers yet unknown?
Are you growing weary in the struggle of it all?
Jesus will help you when on his name you call

Refrain
He’s always there hearing every prayer, faithful and true
Walking by our side, in his love we’ll hide all the day through
When you get discouraged just remember what to do
Reach out to Jesus, He’s reaching out to you

Is the life you’re living filled with sorrow and despair?
Does the future press you with its worry and its care?
Are you tired and friendless, have you almost lost your way?
Jesus will help you, just call to him today [Refrain]

VERSE:  Isaiah 59:1, “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”

During times of trouble it is important to remember that God is able.  This verse teaches us that there is nothing too big for God or too small for God.  His hands of mercy, grace and love extend to every situation in our lives.  His ears are open and ready to listen to every cry for help that we make.  We, as children of God, must open our hearts and trust Jesus with every problem, care and issue we have in our lives.  He is not only able to completely fix everything we give to Him, He is also willing to do so.  Jesus is interested in you.  He is standing guard over you and He is ready to take action when you pray and ask Him to do so.  He will provide your every need, just ask!  Jesus loves you.  You are loved.

Prayer:  Jesus, my Savior and friend, please strengthen my faith.  Help me to trust you in such a way that I can give you my every care and am willing to invite you into every situation in my life.  Lord, grant me the ability to trust you so completely that I receive the peace that comes only from you.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

*Sunday and Wednesday encouragements are written for our friends in Assisted Living, who we are unable to see regularly, due to COVID. We pray they are a blessing for you as well!
