VERSE: Philippians 3:8-9 – “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”
When we love Jesus, really love Jesus, then we can come to a place where He is all that matters. To know Christ is to want to know Him more. To know of His deeds, His love towards us, His promises to keep us, His unconditional love towards us, makes us fully focused on Him. Paul knew Jesus in this way. He realized that nothing mattered except knowing Jesus personally and by doing so receiving the righteousness of Christ and His power in us. Paul reminds us that we can Know God but that it takes dedication to Him. Do you know Jesus? How dedicated are you to serving Him? Know Him today! Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, fill me with Your presence. Show me Your ways. Lead me in the direction that I should go. Give me a desire and a hungering to know You better. Make my desires line up with Your will. Help me to be a light in a dark and lost world. Draw me close to You. Shower me with Your grace! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
