VERSE: I John 1:9 – “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
I am grateful to know that God forgives us of our sins when we ask Him into our heart. But I am also grateful to know that daily, as I transgress against His will and His commandments, He still forgives me. It wasn’t a one-time invitation to ask Him to forgive us. It was a one-time invitation to ask Him to live in our hearts and to rule our lives. But daily, I need to ask Him to search my heart, to evaluate my ways, and to cleanse me from all sinful behavior. I need Him to remove the world from me. Ask Him today! Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for hearing my prayer of repentance. Thank you for coming to live in my heart when I invited you in. Lord, now please help me to walk in Your ways. Forgive me when I lose sight of You and commit sin. Forgive my negative attitude, my grouchy ways, and my lack of love for others. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
