VERSE: II Thessalonians 3:5 – “And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.”
Patiently waiting isn’t an easy task. But, when we are patiently waiting on the Lord with a heart that fully trusts Him and is confident that He knows best, then we can wait upon God’s direction. Waiting may be difficult if we are unsure of the outcome. But when we are waiting on God to move or intervene, we are sure the outcome will always be for our good and His glory. This truth can only be fully embraced when we are fully exercising our faith and are allowing ourselves to experience God’s perfect love. It is very important that each of us check ourselves daily to make sure we are operating out of God’s love and exercising our faith. Then, and only then, can we patiently wait for God’s direction and blessings. Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Lord, teach me to wait with a loving, trusting heart that continually recognizes Your greatness and Your love for me. Keep Your promises ever on my mind and in my heart. Don’t let me get ahead of Your plans for me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
