VERSE: John 8:12, “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
All of us face trouble and heartaches in our lives; daily we have burdens to bear. Thank God the child of God does not face their troubles or bear their burdens alone. In your darkest hour and in your worst of times, God is there shining His light, giving His grace, bestowing His mercy, and showing you the way. He is the Way and He continually gives Himself to us if we but only receive Him. Once we are saved, we are given the Holy Spirit to reside in us and Jesus never leaves us nor forsakes us. In darkness and in light, Jesus shows us the way. In His footsteps there is life and life more abundantly. Choose Jesus today. Allow Him to lead you and watch your sadness turn to gladness! He is in your midst. Call on Him! Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Lord, I come humbly to You asking You to shine Your light in my life. Turn my eyes to You. Help me to focus on the goodness of You that surrounds me. Help me to give to You those things I hold so tightly to myself. Use me and mold me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
