Search me, O God, and know my heart today,
Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts, I pray;
See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from every sin, and set me free.
I praise Thee, Lord, for cleansing me from sin;
Fulfill Thy word and make me pure within;
Fill me with fire, where once I burned with shame;
Grant my desire to magnify Thy name.
Lord, take my life, and make it wholly Thine;
Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine;
Take all my will, my passion, self and pride;
I now surrender, Lord, in me abide.
O Holy Ghost, revival comes from Thee;
Send a revival, start the work in me;
Thy Word declares Thou wilt supply our need;
For blessings now, O Lord, I humbly plead.
VERSE: Psalm 51:1-3, 10, “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
Thank You for loving me enough to hear my prayer of repentance and to do Your work in my heart. Teach me to come to You daily for cleansing. Thank you for Your kindness towards me as You continually work to make me what You would have me be. Cleanse me, Oh God! Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved.
Prayer: Jesus, please give me the courage to open my mind and my heart to hear You as You remove what doesn’t belong to make room for more of You. Search me and help me give to you anything that is contrary to Your Will for my life. Help me to give to You everything that doesn’t belong in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
