Song: “Greater Is He That Is In Me”
Lanny Wolfe, Don Marsh & Bob Benson

Chorus:
Greater is He that is in me,
Greater is He that is in me,
Greater is He that is in me,
Than he that is in the world.

Satan’s like a roaring lion, roaming to and fro;
Seeking whom he may devour, the Bible tells me so.
Many souls have been his prey, to fall in some weak hour,
But God has promised us today, His overcoming power.
Chorus:
On the Day of Pentecost, a rushing, mighty wind
Blew into the upper room, and baptized all of them.
With a power greater than, any earthly foe,
And I’m so glad I’ve got it too, I’m gonna let the whole world know.
Chorus:

VERSE:  I John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:  because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

There is victory in Jesus!  No problem is too big for Him to handle on your behalf.  No mountain is too high for you to climb with Jesus.  No situation is too difficult for you to withstand with Jesus.  There is nothing the devil can throw at you or put in your way that can defeat you.  Jesus lives inside of you and He is greater than anyone or anything.  This includes the devil.  Lift your head.  Puff out your chest and walk in the victory that is yours through Jesus Christ.  Fight like King David.  He defeated the giant in his life by letting God do his fighting.  Tell the giants in your life who is fighting your battles, and step out of the way and let God do it.  It is a wonderful thing to be a child of God.  It makes you not only victorious, but an overcomer as well.  Remember Jesus loves you.  You are loved!

Prayer: Lord, my Savior and King, remind me of whose I am.  Bring to my mind the greatness within me embodied in the person of the Holy Spirit that lives within me.  Help me to step out in faith, to walk in Your strength and to bask in the peace that comes from knowing You are fighting my battles.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

*Sunday and Wednesday encouragements are written for our friends in Assisted Living, who we are unable to see regularly, due to COVID. We pray they are a blessing for you as well!
