Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ hath regarded my helpless estate,

VERSE:  Colossians 3:15—“ And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”

Let the peace of God rule in your hearts.  This verse is telling you to submit the emotions of your heart to the peace of God.  How do you do this?  The answer is rooted and grounded in your faith.  Perhaps, you would be more apt to let the peace of God rule in your heart if you dwelled on the results of doing so.  “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).  When you submit to God, the devil flees.  Submitting to God’s peace is submitting to God and you are guaranteed to send the devil packing.  Where the devil is there is no peace.  Those thoughts of doubt and fear are not coming from God.  “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace,” (I Corinthians 14:33).  The angst and nervousness you feel is not from God. God will give you peace if you submit to Him and believe in Him.  Remember, Jesus loves you.  You are loved.

Prayer:  Dear God, help me to trust You more.  Teach me to recognize Your peace and to cling to it.  Give me eyes to see Your works in my life.  Help me to focus solely on You and Your promises for me.  Strengthen my mind, my soul and my witness.  Fill me with Your presence.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
