VERSE: I John 2:5–“But whoso keepeth His Word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that are in him.”
The more you know about Jesus the more you will love Him. How do you get to know Jesus? You get to know Jesus by reading His Word, the Holy Bible, by praying to Him and truly living by His commandments. At first you might think this would be hard or burdensome. However, the truth is that getting to know Jesus and living for Him isn’t a burden at all. It is a blessing! Every time you read about Him, in the Bible, you learn something about Him and it is always something that helps you. You learn of His promises to you and for you. You learn of His unconditional love for you and His desire to provide, protect, care, and guide you. The truth is that by learning of Him, you learn to trust Him and trusting Him leads to a life of peace, joy, and fulfillment. Won’t you read His Word and pray to Him today? He is waiting with open arms to welcome you, bless you and to give you unmerited favor and amazing grace. Regardless of what you have or haven’t done, Jesus is waiting for you to turn to Him and commune with Him. Remember, Jesus loves you. You are loved!
Prayer: Jesus, oh how I love You. Fill my heart with a desire to know You more. Help me to understand Your love for me and to recognize Your blessings. Teach me Your ways and give me the strength to live in them. Help me to remember the amazing Savior you are. Fill me to overflowing with Your joy. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
