I’ve been thinking a lot about how much time I give God during every day of my life. Lately, I have listened to some of my favorite preachers like Charles Stanley, and at some point or another, they seem to emphasize the importance of giving God everything you can offer no matter what the sermon topic is. Placing God first in our lives and enhancing our personal relationships with Him need to be our top priorities in each of our everyday lives.

As I’m sure I have stated before, I like to make to-do lists, and I keep my planner close at hand all the time. I’ve been trying to categorize all the things I do and places I go. It seems I’m always running around for one reason or another, trying to get as many things accomplished as possible. But, as a whole, I’ve been very introspective in analyzing my work for God, and I am finding that I am not doing enough. If I am not giving God my all, then I’m not living enough for Him as I should be. If it’s not 100 percent, then it’s not enough, and I have to change this. And I will, too. In fact, now that my eyes have been opened to this fact, I am so excited to start more and more, and be more and more for my Heavenly Father.

I wonder if you happen to fit this bill as well. Have you just let life get in the way of your relationship with God? If so, then now is the time to acknowledge this and begin living a more blessed life with your Heavenly Father. Let’s all work toward giving Him our all in all. Here are just a few verses with this in mind. Think about God as our all in all and all the many ways we can work toward being all in all for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

•  Ephesians 1:23 says, “Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.”

•  I Corinthians 12:6 says, “And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.”

•  I Corinthians 15:28 tells us, “And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”

•  Colossians 3:11 , in the latter part of the verse says, “But Christ is all, and in all.”

In addition to each of these verses, one great example of someone giving God her everything is the parable of the widow’s mite. The Gospel of Mark provides this account, which tells us , “And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living” (Mark 12:42-44).

A great and powerful worship song that I would like to leave you with today is called, “All in All.” Simply read the lyrics to this song and let it bless your heart throughout this week!

All in All
You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all

Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I’d be a fool
You are my all in all

Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising up again I bless Your name
You are my all in all

When I fall down You pick me up
When I am dry You fill my cup
You are my all in all

Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Jesus, Lamb of God

Worthy is Your name
You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek

You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I’d be a fool

You are my all in all
Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising up again I bless Your name

You are my all in all
When I fall down You pick me up
When I get dry You fill my cup

You are my all in all
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name.

So, now please check the appropriate answer to this question: Do you give God your all in all – Always, mostly, sometimes, rarely, or never. In a week or two, ask yourself the same question and see if you get a different answer! God bless!
